Soft and sturdy. Thick cotton knit outside, absorbent cotton terry inside, with a waterproof layer inside the center crotch area to help prevent leaks. Trim fitting and comfortable as 'first' underwear, with cloth-bound elastic for a gentle fit. Not intended for use as a night pant or to hold complete wettings. These trainers are a transitional pant to hold some leakage before the child gets to the potty.
